* Halo 2 (PC)
Now with less ass.

* Forza Motorsport 2 (X360)
The Xbox 360 gets it's dose of Forza racing.

* Shadowrun (X360, PC)
Magic and guns, 360s and PCs join together for a new multiplayer experience

* Mortal Kombat: Armageddon (WII)
Nintendo brings Mortal Kombat to their console marking the beginning of the Wii bloodletting game parade.

It's like Super Paper Mario on the PSP just without the paper or the Mario. The super remains to be seen.

* Atelier Iris 3: Grand Phantasm (PS2)
A little 2D old school PRG action. I really, really hope this has that silver ball that puts spikes in your brain.

* Monster Madness: Battle for Suburbia (X360, PC)
Fight for control of the suburbs against monster hordes. No, not soccer moms, actual monsters.

Looks like we'll have to be keeping an eye on the Smash Bros. In the past few days they've posted pictures of character profiles on Link and Mario, and now they've started highlighting new items, beginning with the Gooey Bomb. It's basically a sticky grenade with a twist, in that once you have one stuck on you there's a chance you can touch another character and pass it on. This is exactly why Master Chief needs to show up inBrawl. Never happen of course, but doesn't it just scream MC?

Live Wii Adds

Anyone living in the UK planning on seeing a movie this weekend, be warned: you maybe subjected to a new form of three-dimensional advertising that will actually be worse than the stupid Hollywood trivia questions they put up that have the in a corner upside-down.

Live ads involving actors that will be in the theater with you will play out the following scenario in order to peddle the Nintendo Wii:

"The ad reel plays in the darkened auditorium as usual, but the two actors are present amongst the audience. Steve, an achingly cool teenager sits near the front. Unbeknown to him, his mother, Elsa, enters the auditorium in search of her son. At the appropriate moment during the on-screen commercials, the ad reel is stopped and the house lights come on. Steve's mum bustles in and calls her son embarrassingly from the darkness.

What follows is a living hell for Steve as his mother challenges him to a rematch of Nintendo Wii tennis there and then in front of an audience of total strangers. Preferring to lose some of his cool rather then look cowardly Steve takes up the challenge. He soon forgets his embarrassment as he becomes caught up in the game."

More Gears of War content

Epic is creating even morw Gears of War content for the next update and even though they don't have a time-frame for when they are planning to release it, Epic VP Mark Rein wants everyone to know that they's made "signficant progress" on it. In addition to creating new achievement, Epic also plans to take advantage of the fact the Microsoft is now allowing developers to add 250 extra gamerpoints by download content. Rein describes the next update further:
"The title update is free and that's what contains the achievements. However some of the achievements are tied to things relating to playing the maps in the Hidden Fronts map pack which currently costs money but will be made free in a few months."

Smash Bros. Dojo Update: Kid Icarus' Pit

The trickle of Super Smash Bros. Brawl news continues, as we get a character profile on fan favorite Pit from Kid Icarus. While I don't expect that we'll find many of the SSBB character updates postworthy, anything Kid Icarus related is going to elicit a fanboy kneejerk reaction and require careful inspection of every pixel of every screenshot.

Four new-like screens of Pit in action from dramatic angles have been added as well as info on his double blade-bow weapon, the Sacred Bow of Palutena. Also revealed is that Pit's light arrow shots will allow for player controlled trajectories.

Wii Screen Protector

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

Ladies and gentlemen, we are in the midst of an epidemic. A vile scourge comes from the east, intent of destroying our homes and obliterating everything we have worked so hard to build for ourselves. It can't be bargained with. It can't be reasoned with. It doesn't feel pity, or remorse, or fear. And it absolutely will not stop, ever, until you are dead and all of your worldly posessions are in tatters. Ladies and gentlemen, it is called the Wii.

Countless Tvs and windows the world over have already been destroyed by this monstrosity over the last six months, and who knows how many more will fall beneath its insidious blue and white fist. How many more wolves have to die people, how many?

Think I'm over-exaggerating the Wiitard problem? Of course I'm not. This thing is lethal, and if ever proof were needed of how far the plague has come, it's in the fact that a company has now started actively marketing a screen protector on their web site specifically as an armor against the Wii menace.

It may look like any of the other screen guards they sell, but oh no, this thing is the clear plastic saviour we've all been praying for since this most dark period of human history began. We need it people, because the problem is that serious. Be thankful that people like LCDArm exist to make the stand against the shadows.

There is hope now. If we hold together and keep strong our resolve, perhaps one day soon we will come to a day when the worst times are behind us. Until then believe in yourselves, believe in each other, and please, be safe.

(Or alternatively, just learn to use a game controller. Seriously, aren't we over this by now?)

Mario Party 8 for the Nintendo Wii

GT provides us with the latest Mario Party 8 gameplay footage, which “takes the social, strategic game play of board games and adds breaks for quick, action-oriented minigames.” Videos after the break.

"In the main mode, players travel across six boards in search of Stars, landing on spaces that are helpful (example: giving coins) or a hindrance (example: sending Bowser in to mess with the player). Several variations for these boards tweak the main goals to enhance game play for solo sessions, two-player games and three- to four-player games"

It has finaly arrived Time for WoW players to wake up and start the long patch 2.1.0 download, The Black Temple. The 256MB patch introduces a slew of new content to the game, much of which we was supposed to come with the Burning Crusade expansion itself, but oh well. It's here now.

One of the main features is The Black Temple itself, where players can get a chance at taking down Illidan the Betrayer, whom I'm sure will be a pain in the ass to kill.

Also included is a good deal of faction-related content, the long-awaited non-PVP obtainable Nether Drake, a new PVP arena, changes and tweaks across all classes, and finaly, epic engineering goggle recipes ranging from cloth to plate. ~Spevial
